About the Role:
ALICE solves the complex logistics of running every department in a hotel through a unified platform. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to manage a team of engineers and organize it around projects and deliverables, providing technical leadership to major projects while developing your team.
Engineering Managers have not only the technical skills to roll up their sleeves but also are able to motivate and inspire your team to continuously deliver products and features that empower our users. You are an excellent communicator and lead communications with your team and other departments in the company. You also like to be hands on and part of the development process.
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for:
Leading and growing a team of high-caliber distributed systems software engineers
Contributing to engineering team-wide process improvements and automation
Working with engineers to define career goals and align their ambitions with relevant projects and tasks
Collaborating with other teams to get ahead of cross-team dependencies
You will also work closely with the Product Management team to set a strategic direction for your team.
Contribute technically to projects, including task planning and code reviews. Split your time between writing code and managing your team to grow into stronger developers.
Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution and success of complex projects
Our front end stack is AngularJS.
Our backend is Java, Groovy/Grails, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.
By joining all of the departments of your hotel with a single operations platform for internal communication and task management, ALICE helps your staff act as a team to provide consistently excellent service.
